The shading in this movie was pretty great. And the character designs often had a good sense of large, heavy, dangerous creatures.

I was gonna watch this and I see so few comments on here and wondered why? Then I realize that whom ever is responsible for this video wants to give it TWO sides and that's why I'm stopping watching it. There arent really TWO sides! Theres the truth and then there's the liars and if your not willing to make that point then you just continue shitting on the dead. They removed Collins flight notes that he always painstakingly took from the night befores briefing which survived the crash for a reason. So it could be shown that their flight operations put the wrong coordinates into the computer and he had not been made aware of the error. This whole "you cant think you know where you are you have to know where you are" is a great line, spoken by a man who if he was in that exceedingly capable pilots seat would have killed himself and the 256 other passengers on that plane that day. YOU WERENT THERE THE HOLES FOR SWISS CHEESE WAS STARTED BY THE FLIGHT OPERATIONS MORON, AND FROM THERE THE WHITE OUT EFFECT SEALED THEIR FATE! Your government stole the sheets from his binder shredded documents and lied about the coordinates for weeks all so your government didnt have to pay money for the people they killed. And if you think this was pilot error then you're as Godless as your prime minister at the time, who buy the way was the majority share holder in AIR NEW ZEALAND!!!!! And the fact that Judge Mann was summarily dismissed being a man of exceeding integrity by the same people who orchestrated this coverup I have nothing but pity on your ignorant soul!!

Gordon Vette had earlier helped saved American Jay Prochnow after he was lost while flying his small Cessna aircraft across the Pacific. The story was even made into a TV movie starring Scott Bakula (of Quantum Leap fame), and Robert Loggia playing Vette. Interesting fact - the flight engineer that was on Vette's flight was Gordon Brooks, Flight 901s engineer.

I was born in 2002 but my dad born in 1976 raised me on this and the comics here in Australia. I was raised on the farm working the cattle and sheep, married a shearer and have 3 dogs. 2 Australian cattle dogs and we just got ourselves a border collie. I tell yah what I should have gotten a border collie a long time ago, much easier than a cattle dog (mine are 10yrs old and 7 years old). I’m 1/2 Scottish on my mums side so was pretty surprised to find out that the border collies originated in Scotland on the border of England

This was the second movie I saw at the cinemas after ghostbusters. And the first one I stayed awake for the whole movie

When my family took us to New Zealand for vacation I ended up picking up all the comics/graphic novels for Footrot Flats. Years later I ended up getting a cat that turned out to be a lot like Horse. He'd keep the neighbors dogs, horse and other animals that wandered into our yard out.
